). But anyhow, I have a 1982 GS750 and I am reaching a point with it where I am beginning to look at different engines. I have been thinking about maybe air cooled GSXR engines or I have seen that people are a fan of the Bandit 1200 engine around here.Here is what I want to get out of an engine swap:
1) MORE POWAHHHH!!! I'd like to be at atleast 90-100 hp
2) An engine with slimmer cases. This is a custom bike and I like the way it looks, I would say my first real build so I am sentimentally attached. I love the way the bike looks with the exception of the cases on either side of the block hanging out so far.
3) Better highway gearing. The stock engine is at about 60-70% of maximum RPM when I cruise at highway speed and the high revs rattle you to death.
4) Possibly some weight reduction? Don't know how much there is to be had, but if a decade newer engine might weigh less, I'm all for it!!
Fabrication and spending a few extra bucks here and there doesn't bother me although the easiest/cheapest option is favored. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions!
