    Clutch Help!!

I have what is probably a simple question but figured i would ask anyways, 81 GS1100E, Just installed the EBC SRK50 Clutch Kit, Comes with the carbon plates, and HD Springs. Bike still seems to slip underload ever so slighly. Would shortening the shims ever so slighty to allow me to tighten springs down alittle more be a fix to my issue?

Not something that I would do. Hd springs are stiffer than stock, don't know that you would gain anything positive. Start from scratch and readjust the clutch.

Since you have a new clutch kit...
Make sure your clutch cable is properly adjusted. I had the same issues. What really solved it for me was a new clutch cable. Turned out the cable was so spongy I was constantly trying to adjust it to that sweet spot. Old cables stretch and make the task impossible. 25$ for a new cable.

Thats basically what we are doing at this point and its adjusted all the way out at this point so might go that route and see what happens.

OEM clutch cable compresses a lot less than the cheap one I bought.

Do you have play at the clutch lever?
