ajusting valves

Ok i have a few questions on ajusting my valves on my 80 850 gl first is the valves are to tight im getting a readi of .01mm on 5 of the valves can i shave the tappets to get the right tollerence and what is the torque spec on the cams or do i have to buy tappets because they only come in.05 intervals an i looking to get a .03 to .05

They almost always get tighter, don't shave anything,you don't have to remove the cams, read about the proper procedure and the shim club on this forum.
