can anyone identify this rear caliper? I'm told it make be from an early GS1000. It is now the brake on the hack of my racing sidecar. I need parts for it.

Looks like a standard GS rear caliper to me so yes, it could have come off a 1k.79 GS1000S

I think you are right HH. This is the rear caliper on my 79 GS1000N, 99% sure it is stock.
