    1981 gs650E to 750 engine swap

Hi I just aquired a 81 gs650E chain drive silver bike , but after getting home the engine is done no compression , I looked for a decent used one but the chain drive is in short supply , what years of 750 engine might fit in my frame or is even a 1000 or 1100 possible

Do a top end rebuild, it's easy if you can turn a wrench and can read.

The 650 frame is too small to accept the larger engines

      No compression? like zero psi?

Since it didn't run, I can only assume you bought it cheap as a project. Cheap means $1,500 to get it running well
