Inlet & Exhaust valves for GS850

The OEM engine valves for a GS850G work out at around $640 (Australian) for a set of 8.
OK, I know they are not real dollars to some of you folks but still very expensive.
Has anyone found another source, equivalent or blank valves for this job?

Buy some on ebay and have them shipped. If money is tight find some from a low mileage bike and have them ground on a modern centerless valve grinding machine.

Same problem in NZ. Depending on fluctuations in the exchange rate, I have occasionally found it's easier/cheaper to go to a local head shop and get stainless blanks cut to suit. Shop here charges $58NZ for Manley blanks then plus cutting and groove machining.
