    Rare conrods

    Any one have any info on these GS1000 rods. Sort of been told there for the XR69/GS1000R engines. Thanks

      Looks like the gudgeons are bigger than usual too. I'd speculate that the stock gudgeons are the weak point if you want more revs on the 1000 - and the rods are to accomodate that.
      FWIW I'm pretty sure all the genuine Yosh 1000's in NZ use stock rods. Those are indeed rocking horse poo...

      Edit - In standard japanese practise, the last number - off on it's own - is usually the forging batch number. In this case #1.
      I'd be very surprised if there was a batch #2.
