    Clutch disks and gasoline

The 850 has started blowing through the clutch over about 5000 RPM. The disk thickness is well within specs, and it has 3 original and 3 HD springs. I have twice left the petcock on Prime and dumped some gas in the crankcase, with oil change following as soon as I discovered it (pretty easy-oil leaks out the shifter seal). Thinking the gas may soak in to the clutch plates and cause the slip?. I have a new set of OEM disks I am putting in tomorrow, anything else I should look at?

You may want to wire buff the steel plates. Once slip has started they tend to glaze.
