    o rings for pistons

Can anyone tell me how far in the o rings go into grove on cylinder for gs 1100e?
are they supposed to be flush with base of cylinder or pushed into groove?

Doesn't matter. I'd just make sure they are relatively evenly inserted into the groove. They are to keep oil from wicking up between the aluminum and the steel liner.

      Oh now it makes sense.
      That's good news.
Bad news 1 piston ring broke in half and the spring ring popped out on #4 piston.!
How hard is it to replace?
