What could have jammed my drive shaft?!

    I'd like to see the pictures of the secondary gears.
    You need to pull them first since it will be easier than splitting the case.

    We can speculate after we determine it was or wasn't the gears.

    The reason it happened could be the nut and stub broke off of the driven gear. Losing preload and becoming cocked or misaligned enough to jam the gears.

    Redman and I were fortunate enough that they didn't jam but gave us a whining warning.

      Alan AMK, Perhaps it was in Noratx's other posting, but he said he has removed the swing arm and all appears to be good, except the transmission/secondary is still locked up.
      I was going to mention about the threaded stub situation, but he didnt say anything about the output flange falling off (as mine did) when he removed the shaft drive.
