    Permatex Cam Chain Guide?

Hey Guys, I am finally to the point of putting the engine back together on my rebuild. I am wondering though - should I use a sealant on the cam chain guide? The little triangle-ish thing that goes above the cam chain tensioner at the top of the head.

    GUIDE, CAM CHAIN NO.2 ~E.NO.163175
    12791-45040

    Number 9 on this diagram.

No sealer. The washer used for the bolt is the sealing type. Like a dowty seal.

Also known as a lock-o-seal washer.

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

Ahhhh, I see. It makes sense now. I thought I couldn't find the washer that was there, but I did see one with the rubber inner portion.

          Thank you!
