    Initial start up after rebuild

Just finished up the rebuild on my 1977 gs750. Thanks to everyones help on here. Is there anything I need to do/check before cranking it over for the first time? I replaced the rings, honed cylinders, valve lap and new seals. All oem gaskets were used. I turned the motor over by hand after installing the cams and turned fine. Im ready to start this thing up! Any suggestions before I go for it? Thanks again

Give each cylinder a little shot of oil if you havent already applied a good film during assembly. Crank it over by hand a few times to coat the cylinder walls with some oil.Start with the exhaust out the garage door for obvious reasons.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

I did similar work last spring. Primed carbs, cranked for 3-5 seconds and it fired right up, My banshee yell probably let my neighbors know I did something difficult.
