    Success!!!

The beast lives again! Just got back from my first ride after re-building the top end on my 850. I can't believe it. Until I came to this site, I knew nothing about working on old bikes, cars, or pretty much anything mechanical. Now I'm re-building motors? Who would have thunk it. You guys are great, I can't thank you enough.

    That is
1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head
1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

Great to see you share your excitement! You should be very proud of yourself!

I too joined the GS Club here a while ago with little ability and knowledge and now, with a few dollars and some time I am willing to try most things on my bikes. All the credit goes to those knowledgeable senior members here who unselfishly guide us learners throughout. It is a very cool community!
