1000 crank in a 1100??

Chain drive vs. shaft. Pretty sure the answer is no.

GS1000 chain drive will not work in a GS1100 chain drive. Chain drive 1000/1100 will not work in a shaft drive 1000/1100. It has to do with main bearing locations and primary drive gear locations.

Are the 2V engines plain of roller bearing? The 1100E/1150E are all roller.

All are roller bearing crank other than the 450 and 650G (US models.)

Those engines are 16V. Your question pertained to 2V engines.
