Drive sprocket nut part number
1978 GS750E: I need a new drive sprocket nut (the front sprocket on the output shaft). Ordered from Parts Outlaw but unfortunately just picked numbers from the schematic and didn?t look at the actual part numbers. It seems that the fiche lists the spacer behind the sprocket (part #37 on the schematic) and the nut (part #38 on the schematic) as the same Suzuki in-house part number so when i ordered a spacer and nut...i got 2 spacers instead. All the parts suppliers have the same images and part numbers so i can?t find the correct suzuki part number anywhere....does anyone know what the correct part number is for this nut, part #38 here:

Dont have exact answer to your specific question.
But on other part number problems on microfisce or missing part, I have found it by looking at the next years microfische for same model to see what part number is listed there. And for a double check, then see what "fitment" is listed for that part number.http://webpages.charter.net/ddvrnr/GS850_1100_Emblems.jpg

Spot on Redman! I went back to the ?78 model year, same problem. Skipped ahead to ?79 and same thing under the GS750E schematic BUT under the dreaded L they had the correct part number!1978 GS750E (barn find and current project)
