gs650 connecting rod bearing

img_5739-e1507492926599.jpgHi everyone, i've just got a 81 650 katana. it has new piston rings fitted by previous owner buy the connecting rod bearing on number 4 cylinder needs replacing. is it possible to access through the sump or pull the motor out. thanks in adnvance

As a minimum, it's engine out and the cases split.

How do you know it's this rod bearing alone ? If one is this bad usually there are others.

hi,cylinders 1,2,3 all have good compression. 4 has nothing at all & when the piston is past tdc on downward stroke there is about 1mm of play when you push it.
