    Rebuild clutch basket GS1000E

Hi, I'm rebuilding a GS 1000E '80 and bought heavy duty clutch springs for the clutch basket.
Grinding the rivets and hammered these out of the basket.

Then it went wrong. The basket and the pieces fell on the ground when it came loose.

There is a small curved ring beneath the backing-plate. Is this the right way to assemble? (curved up).
And... can I re-use the basket with those grooves?

Personally, I don't remove the rivets. When the backplate goes back on, a rosette weld in the original hole works quite well.
I don't think it greatly matters which way up that washer is - witness marks might tell you which way it has been previously.
Yeah, all the spring recesses go like that. Reuse it.
