I get the opportunity to make a fork brace for a friends 85 GS500. The one he has now is just blaaahhhhh (attached photo)
The problem is, is that he lives halfway across the country and doesnt have access to his bike at the moment (long story

Can anyone with one please take some measurements for me - as exact as you can?
I need
1) The diameter of the fork tubes
2) The distance between the fork tubes ( inside to inside will be fine)
3) The distance between all four of the lower fork leg 'fender bracket' bolts
3) The diameter of the bolt holes
Plan on designing something in Solidworks for him and then water cutting it. If anyone is interested in the file, or the parts...just email me and we'll figure something out
