I bought this bike for $125... the tank was rusted out so I made this setup to see if the thing would run. After rebuilding the carbs & jacking around with bad wiring, it runs good but obviously looks like crap.
It is a 79 gs750L & I hate the way the tank looks because this model stops short of going all the way up to the neck. It has those ugly plastic covers on each side. Can I use another year tank that extends up to the neck? If so, what year do I need? Can I use another model seat also?
I plan on getting this bike on the road this spring & having some fun. My other bike is a 53 Triumph pre unit that has a long way to go & I really need to get in the wind & out of the shop. Dan C.Comment
