GS1100E Tank Swap with GS750E

I was wondering if I could swap a 80-82 GS750E gas tank onto my 80 GS1100E?

Dont know I saw a picture of 750E done really clean and I liked the lines on it.

i believe they are the same just diffrent stripes color seats will also change

Should be doable, I don't think the petcock is transferable though. I bought a tank that I beleive to be an 11, but turned out to be a 750 tank with the petcock opening further back and not of the same demensions as my 11s. Other than that it fit the frame, albeit tightly for some reason. Still haven't used it, saving it for when it is needed. Good Luck.
