Would I be able to swap a 82 GS1100 or GS750E front fender onto a 80 GS1100?

After looking at my 1983 GS1100E's front fender, I have the measurements of 2 1/2 inches between the front and rear mounting holes on mine.
Give yours a measurement and see if it is the same.
If so, you are in.
From looking at pictures of the 80 1100 and mine, I think it should work.
