My V&H 4-1 header is turning gold up close to the top of the header. No bluing, just gold. Will the stuff made for bluing pipes clean this off? Or what has anyone else used that works? It doesn't look bad (looks kinda cool, actually), but wanted to know if there is a way to get them back to chrome?

I've never used "Blue Away" but have had a couple of friends that did and both told of the product causing minor pitting. Now this is your typical friend of a friend story and both sets of pipes were on old Triumphs, your results may vary. But I'd be very careful if I used that brand of cleaner. -
Golding is the first stage before "blueing" yes blue away will remove it.
