gs 550d 1979 - original frame, swingarm, sidestand finish - mat or gloss ?

I was looking for the photos of details of original GS 550 everywhere. And can't find the original details. From what I've found from individual parts it looks like most of the black parts - frame, side/central stand, swing arm, footpeg brackets were gloss black, while forks top and bottom bracket and controls were mat black. Not sure aboutparts like license plate bracket, battery holder, or air cleaner box. Tempted to go full gloss with the everything apart from the top and bottom bracket's. But would really like to know and find the photos of original GS...

I think satin black is closer to the OEM color for the frame

I'd say gloss, but not super-duper bright and shinny gloss.

They're Gloss, but not super shiny Gloss. Kind of hard to reproduce. I painted my '75 CB400F after I turned it into a race bike with a Satin Black paint, and Gloss Clear over that. It looked really good and held up well. Still have that bike, with a Kaz Yoshima 458 cc big bore kit.. It's "pickled" right now.
