touch up master cylinder and caliper?
Can someone recommend a good touch up paint for the master cylinder and caliper? I just did a rebuild for both and the result is some missing paint around various parts which I'd like to touch up. Any suggestions?Tags: None -

VHT Hi-temp caliper paint. Comes in lots of colours. Just be sure to "bake" it at 200 degrees for 1 hour like it says on the can. It's brake fluid resistant & works great.

Sounds like the right stuff to use if you have the parts disassembled and clean. I should have asked my question a few days ago
Problem is that the caliper and master cylinder are now back on the bike and bled. I don't want to have to do that over again.
Do you think it might work ok if I just stick a blowdrier on it for a couple of hours?Comment

200 degrees F is not that hot....
Should work, if not a blowdrier then certainly a heat gun would work.
You really shouldn't get any brake fluid on it at all since you are done bleeding it, at least not until you change brake fluid next time.
Something black parked in the sun a few hours at a time should cure the paint fairly well after a year or so...Comment
