That looks OK. I think he cut too much away though. He has no side deflection.

Looks good, I still havent cut my fairing down all the way yet but it will be similar to yours. I toyed with whether to keep the front directionals or cut away more of the fairing and lose them but I plan to keep them at this point. My mock brackets position the fairing an inch or so forward of the stock headlight position. I hope to get it done soon but I haven't had much time lately.
