    There should have been.... a compressible ring in each port on the head. The header bolts pull the head pipes up tight against them. I just wondered how many time people get away without having to replace them if you have to remove pipes for every oil change.

      Ah! Okay....so it was a general question. I saw your number of posts and thought it was rhetorical. Sorry for misunderstanding.

      And good information to know, too. I'm very glad you asked as it would have taken me a while to find it out....and now I can replace them with the oil change I'm going to be doing real soon.
