I have used "Saddlemen" seat covers 2 times on a "G", once on an '80 1000, once on an '80 850. I like un unmarked OEM seat better, but the Saddlemen is pretty nice. It has some extra padding to smooth out ratty foam, which was not a plus for me.
I have yet to get any cover on straight, including on my Commando and on my RD400, but its a great improvement over a ratty seat. I got one from Dennis Kirk, and one from JC Whitney. The Kirk one was a close out.
