    GS1100 Aftermarket Mirrors

Didn't someone post here awhile back with a place that sold great aftermarket mirrors for the GS1100? I remember going to the site; they had two different sizes available. Thought I had saved the website but evidently I was wrong. If anyone knows of it let me know. Thanks

I had the Napolean's like these and they work so much better than stock.

    Well worth the price.

Those were the ones. Anyone used their bar-end mirrors as well? Might order a set of those for the 1000.

          $47 each!

Not sure what the difference is between these but they are $47 per PAIR instead of each. http://www.holeshot.com/old/napoleon/napol_mirror.html

Yes, I have had a set of Napoleon bar-ends on my '83 1100E for years:

I love the look but most importantly they give a much improved view of behind and, to a certain extent, beside you. I would recommend getting the Napoleon brand vs. the cheap Emgos or other brands. In this case you definitely get what you pay for.....

            Thanks,

Got to be a typo on their end. I hope

I have some cheap Emgos and, while the Napoleans are better, I?ve had no issues with my cheap $15/pair mirrors. The field of view is the same as the Napoleans, but I?m sure they don?t stand up to life as well. I want to CMGs, but I can?t bring myself to part with $180 for mirrors, so I occasionally watch ebay.

I have the napoleans on my GS and they are fine.....but I have barend mirrors on my ZRX and they are the bomb.....ZERO vibration (weighted ends) and the cool factor is up there as well...

That HAS to be a typo. They are not worth anywhere near $48 a pair even!

I have a pair of the Napoleans (they were on the bike when I got it) and they're okay, but there are many others that are just as good.

I have a pair on my GS that I bought from a fleabay vendor for $5 a piece plus another $5 shipping) that are just as good. That's $15/pair!

This guy sells the Napoeans for under $10 each: http://www.cbxmanmotorcycles.com/cat...categoryid=339

I used bar-end Emgos for years with no problems until recently when the right-hand mirror would no longer where it was adjusted-it was wearing at that point, I guess. When I removed it to see what I could do to fix the situation, I had to force out the very flimsy metal anchor that sits within the bar tube. Getting it out was impossible without destroying it. So I've replaced them both with Napoleons, which look similar, but are of a definite higher quality. I haven't had a chance to ride with them yet but I can't see why they won't do the job.
