Yes it did sit that low and No it's not sinking... It had a 468 BB Chevy putting out 569+ HP LOL and did about 80+, You could reach out and touch the water at speed... Now those were the days...

Getting closer, the valve cover is comming along and the tank has one more day (according to the directions) to dry and looks pretty good!

Here's a picture of the NOT POLISHED but looks semi done VC.

                Joe,
Not shiny ? I can't tell everything is too bright .

Those look excellent and that seat goes with it sssssssoooooo well .
                Keep them pics coming.

I'm working mine but it aint near as glamorors as those plastics (aircraft stripper and AU wheels ).
                Jim

Sweet I was wondering how that seat woul look on the bike. Now I will have to paint mine next year and I might even go Blue.... Getting ready to put the VC back on, I wanted to ask since I know you had the vale cover off did you do a quick adjustment and if so what did you set them at ? I did mine and went with .005, I'm glad I did because I did find 4-5 that were pretty tight.

                      The bike is looking great.

I set mine to loosest tolerance.. but that's cause I don't want to do them again any time soon... Do my 8v's the same way where possible.

How is the fit to the tail? My sargent recover (late '80s) has a gap at the top due to them finishing off the rear differently. Otherwise it was a great job that has held up really well. I'm considering having them recover it again.

That paint job looks fantastic! Did you purposely tease us by just taking pics of small sections??
