77 750 frame similar to later model 1Ks?

I have been lurking on the site for some time and recently got a hold of a 77 750 on all stock form. I have noticed a lot of 1K guys doin gsxr conversions as well as b12/gsxr swingarm swaps. My question is are the head stem specs and frame specs the same from the 750/1000. I have a complete 03 gsxr 1K sitting to be parted with and amtrying to tie up some loose ends b4 I dive into this swap... Thanks in advance

No they are different. Frame is smaller. Front end/ forks swaps are possible. As far as putting a water cooled GSXR motor into your 750 frame ? Anything is possible with enough money. A nice mildly worked GS1000 motor would fit

I am more concerned with the swingarm. Do yu think that its a similar affair as the 1K as far as bolting it up.

The gsxr1000 swingarm can be fitted but its no where near a straight swap, plenty of machining & frame mods are needed, theres clearance issues between the swingarm brace & frame/ footrests etc if using the gsxr wheel the frame will need to be notched for chain clearance & the shock will end up right where the battery should sit

imo not worth the hassle mate

will the b12 swap work on the 750 frame? I wasn't really considering the 1000 swingarm as it would actually look out of place on a old gs... the b12 or the zrx just seem to look right

An 1100 swing arm is a bolt up.
            I'm picking mine up tomorrow.

Yes the b12 arm will work in the 750 frame, how much work you have to do for chain alignment depends on the wheel you use

Bandit's a one shocker as well is it not?
That means a top shock mount, frame bracing and battery relocation.

Or two simple lugs welded on the arm for twin shocks
