I think the neck comes with an MSO. I made mine, so it did not. I have a clear title for a bike I scrapped. I was thinking about stamping the vin on the neck. I am not sure on the legality but I have the clear title, how would they know any different?

punch the old vin on it and destroy the old neck, not that hard, not illegal if thats what your worried about.Originally posted by jmlcolorado View PostWont swapping out the neck for a milled version make Regestering the bike pretty complicated since there is no longer an origional vin stamped on the neck?

The other neck and frame are destroyed. The only kicker is that it will be a 74 Honda neck with an 82 Suzuki motor.

so what? as long as the vin on the neck matches the title. could always re-punch the motor too. 74 in fl doesnt need blinkers right?

looks good. and the welds dont look too bad either.....though i have to STRONGLY DISAGREE that the appearance of a weld doesnt mean anything about how strong it is....as a weld inspector, im telling you that appearance can tell you A LOT. i get scared when i see the quality of some of the work here...yours are actually some of the best i have seen here. keep up the nice work!1983 GS 1100 ESD :D

Thanks for the comments. I just need to get my consistancy down. There is just too much time between welding jobs. I had training a few years back at Wyotech.

The 750 with the springer and the 1000 are on hold while I get this 78 going. The plan is to sell the other two once complete. I am just waiting to see what the economy does. Oh yea I also need more funds. The springer bike has a ported and polished head on it, other than that it is stock.
