I love powder over paint. My guy does frames and motormounts including media blast for 160.00. swingarms for 40.00, does engines too.

Don't know why wheels cost so much though. I paint them. Powder on them is about 80ea.

mail order powder is killed I think with shipping costs though for the larger stuff. 15 bucks each way for a swingarm and that only leaves you 10.00 to do the work.

For headers, find a shop that can ceramic coat the inside as well to greatly reduce heat. NOt all shops have that ability. A header around here goes for 125.00 inside and out for black or chrome ceramic.

Powdercoating treatment ranges 350-380 degrees. There are, however powdercoat 'paints' that a specially designed for high temp applications, although I'm not sure what the max tolerance is. I'd be REALLY surprised if any form of aftermarket coating would last on an exhaust, even chrome breaks down faster.
