not the modern OE ones but the cheapo ricer car ones and turnsignal mirrors do.
ive seen a few monte's and kia/hyundai with burned out tails.Comment

They don't burn out...well in a couple decades they will.....but....
The wiring breaks or is the fault nearly 99% on the time in the cheapy "ricer" ones.

under proper conditions leds will last very long and wont burn out
the problem is people want them brighter
so they put in a resistor with less resistance, or dont even put a resistor in (most of the time this will cause them to blow right away)
this DOES make them brighter but it significantly shortens its lifespan
example being : Life Rating : 100,000 Hours
Max Continuous Forward Current : 30mA
30mA is what the 100,000 hours of use is rated with
if you decrease the resistance you will get a brighter led but at less of a lifespan

I have a black set of these on my 79 GS550. Well, on the front anyway. Still working on getting the rest of the bike together. I am actually worried that the won;t be Bright Enough. And I only paid like 15 Bucks for mine on the Bay.Comment

I actually had to rtim the rubber donw about a half inch to get them to go into the factory Blinker Mounts... Thought I'd throw that out there. Any, My battery had not been charged in a few weeks and they were a bit dim. I'm hoping that with a fully charged and runing bike, they will be brighter.
