Thats a nice set. Some of the old school Cafes used to be done very similar. Had a friend back in school who dad restored and Cafe'd old Nortons and had a couple done like this. I like that he left it reversible, even the mounts. -

Those can't possibly work well. Push the brake pedal, and that set up will try to bend the forward pivot forward rather than to rotate it. The horizontal movement of the rod cannot easily translate into rotation of the shaft, as the forward lever is basically parallel to the push rod. It needs to be more perpendicular.
On my first RD400 I fiddled with the angles between the pedal pivot and actuator pivot in order to increase the effort required to lock the rear brake, as it was very touchy. I wonder if this arrangement will work at all. If it does work, I bet it barely does.sigpic Too old, too many bikes, too many cars, too many things
