case guards

Not sure this the right forum but I'll start here. Will case guards or highway bars that fit one GS 1100 model likely fit them all? I.E. , would say case guards from an '82 1100 gk fit an '84 GS 1100 G. There sure were a lot of models of these bikes.

I dont think the GS1100E's will fit the GS1100G's for sure.

I had a 82 1100G with case guards, I tried to put them on my 82 1100E when I got it, but it did not bolt up.I am sure with a decent machine shop it could have been mocked up but.... .
just my .02.

How about maybe these. I guess they would mount a little more forward which is what I would prefer. Wanting to get my hwy pegs a little more forward to stretch out.http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...d.php?t=141763

first.. i don't believe there IS an 84 G .. but most G model bars will fit most g's. the G's are 3 point hitchups.

IE a GK bar should fit as 1100g, a 1000G etc. the bars i have were from, i believe a 80 1000G and fit my 82 1100G just fine.
