I have devised a way for this tank to attach to the bike. I just could not find the correct year tank for my '82 GS450L, but I did get one from an '81 (I believe). The rubber cups on the front of the frame are spaced to close together to fit in the "C's" on the tank and the rear mounts are a little different.....more like a lot (I knew that when I purchased the tank). The way I have the tank on the bike though, it sits low, and is still very secure. I think I may just use band clamps or maybe even thick zip ties (they're cheap) to secure the rear mounts to the bike. All of this is only temporary until I start to chop, cut, and rebuild it into a lengthened bobber bike.
