    Exhaust Wrap

    Hello,
    Anybody have an idea how much I will need to wrap my GS450 exhuast?
    Theres 50 fit inch, 50ft 2 inch etc....

    y? Not much gain on a 450 if at all and the "sweating" it will cause will rust the pipes. looks ok when new but gets tattya real guick.

      the exhaust is pritty rusted, i think it will look good with the wrap

        The distance around your pipes can be calculated as 2*3.14 X 1/2 X the pipe's diameter. Since your wrap is 2" wide and you want a little overlap call the width 1-3/4". Measure the length of all of the pipes that you want to wrap, divide that by 1.75.This is how many sections you need. Multiply that by the first number that you got for the circumference of your pipes. That should give you a pretty good estimate. Naturally make sure that you measure using the same units for everything (probably inches in this case). Be warned, your pipes will rust through with this stuff. Not just "get rusty", but rust through. There are other options if you want them to last longer.

          I plan on wrapping the exhaust on my "little 550" as well, My sole reason is for looks and it hides the welds on my exhaust
