Yes - it's the whole job. I've been using the same guys for maybe 15 years and the price just seems to have got stuck and it's regardless of the state or size of the frame. Last year they did my lad's TS50 (very, very scabby) and a CB900F I restored for a mate - in very tidy condition but he wanted showroom - for the same price. Paying with £20 notes helpsOriginally posted by Nessism View PostDo they sandblast first? Just doing the blasting takes about 1/2 hour.

Like most things the price varies from place to place. I've had 4 frames done (including the two pictured on the first page) for $200 each. That includes media blasting, prep (plugging threads etc.) and powdercoat.Originally posted by hampshirehog View PostFor once, just once, we've got something cheaper in the UK. My local guys will do a brilliant job for £80 cash.

Epoxy Paint
I've had powder coating done on some parts and have used epoxy paint as well. It's a toss up, even though I've had great results with epoxy paint. One of my restorations was done solely with it. Ace Hardware sells black and white for $5 a can. I prefer it over the VHT because the spray pattern is fanned, versus the conical one of VHT.

why would you spray a frame with VHT?Originally posted by GS ace View PostI've had powder coating done on some parts and have used epoxy paint as well.
