    New Paint Job

Just finished assembling all newly painted parts to the bike. Had it painted by a buddy over the winter. Tank was in pretty bad shape under all the bondo.

    Before Pictures

I tried to match the 1/8" pinstripes to the orange/red on the GS sidecover. It came out pretty good.

Added the Maier GP fairing. Took a lot of bending to align the fork brackets.

Now I can't wait for this rain to stop on Monday/Tuesday so i can take her out for a spin.

photobucket seems to be working for me. Once you click on the link go to the left of the screen and open either my suzuki or kawasaki album.

Nice work, the red pin strip on black is a real classsic look. The fairing goes well and will make riding alot more comfortable.

It looks like you have a real nice wet final finish and you did not color sand?

I wish i could paint like that but i cannot take the credit. A buddy back home did it for me. He tried to match up the color on the GS emblem sidecover. He thought it was an orange/red but it came out a little more red. It still looks good though.

He but a layer of clearcoat on it too. I have light swirls in the clear already by just handling and assembling.

I have a tank bag i take everywhere and I really don't want to put it on but i have to. It carries my tools and etc.

Put a thin soft cloth between the tank bag and the tank.

That turned out nice, it might not be a factory color strip but that what makes it "unique". Your buddy does nice work.
