home-made lower tripple tree clamp cover

Mine came without the chrome piece, so I thought I'd try and make something myself. Not too bad I guess...

Just scored a side cover emblem off ebay I'm going to mount on the front of it. that's what the 2 holes are for.

          Good Job!

I've always thought that the chrome covers looked kind of out of place.

Thanks! I need to learn how to paint though. Wound up with a couple sags, but I didn't want to sand it back down and start over. I was amazed that I found a can of duplicover at Advance Auto that was almost a complete identical match. Very very close. It's a new type they have out called "Perfect Match" and the color is called Dark Cherry. I think it's supposed to match some GM color. I wasn't expecting to get that close.
