Seat question

my 81 gs1000g didnt have a seat when i bought it, yet the previous owner gave me a seat that looks to fit a gl of some size, I was wandering if i could install any aftermarket seat upon it and what would or wouldnt work. here is a seat style i am fancying.

you would have to either use a proper 1000g pan and reshape the foam and get a custom seat cover made, or fabricate a pan that somehow mounts to the frame

i got a seat the seller gave me ,but it doesnt look to go to this motorcycle so i am gonna post it for sale either on here or craigslist

Wouldn't that require some epic frame modding to make a seat like that work? If you could pull it off, that would be awesome

ya i aint to keen on stock seats of the height of the foam and such
