convert from G rearend to L

More comfortable with a flatter seat you can move around on, and lower bars with less pullback and a better angle. Also, I think the G model got a 17" rer wheel, which nowadays is easier to find tires for.
I don't like chrome all that much, either.
Plus a bigger tank.

If you are going to ride it for very long, you will miss the comfort of the G. The L just looks uncomfortable to me.

thanks for your opinions guys...it is much valued...you see i am a new rider...not unfarmiliar with motorcycles as i ride dirt bikes but unfarmiliar with road bikes. i do plan on taking longer rides...mostly from here in columbus to sidney ohio where my family lives wich is bout an hour and thirty minutes away so comfort is key...the more time i put into this bike the more i appreciate it...the L model just caught my eye a little more i guess...but right now if someone were to offer the same bike to me in the L model for my bike i would decline

On the L, you lean back more on your tailbone..especially with the longer pull-back bars. You also sit closer to the tank. At least I did. It was a reasonably comfortable bike, but after a couple hours, my rear got tired of sitting there. On the G, you sit more upright and forward. There's more room to stretch out. Because of the flat seat, you can slide back and forth, changing your position over time relieving some of those pressure points. Plus, the G seat is plusher. The L looks sportier to me, but the G is bigger and more comfy...at least to me.
