Original Paint Colors
Does anyone have a site that shows the original paint color schemes for the 1981 GS 550T? I would like to make fixing the tank and side covers a project for next winter and would like to start making sure I don't do it so it's too outlandish.

Thanks for the help Nessism. Had to do some other looking around because the parts fiche at my store doesn't list the paint color. I found it so now I'm wondering even more about this bike. Color on it (grey) doesn't match anything listed (black or red) that I found.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace

yes especially any parts that may have had stickers on them with warnings capacities etc. always an easy indicator of a paint job
or someone with an especial fear and loathing of labels.
also some do a bad job around the tank filler hole though im not sure why
pic is as noted by nessissim to small to really see

The best pictures I can post right now besides the one in my sig don't show alot. Here's one around the fuel tank that is probably the best to see the paint scheme he put on it.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace

While here's one from the left side. I already removed some of the rust from the pipes but I need something stronger to take off the acid. I hope to start doing that sometime after fixing the electrical issue I have it right nowCowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace
