I did the clear coat on bare metal and loved how it came out, did an old school pinup stencil with some overspray and called it done.

I think you just like the primer because it goes with the duct tape.

That's why they make the multi colored duct tape so it always matches the paint scheme.

Lot of nice examples on here! Love the Kandy and clear over metal; very nice. I think if I go away from the stock maroon color I'll go either silver and black stripes or rootbeer candy with an off white (like Wimbeldon White). Kind of a rootbeer float idea; dark on the bottom an lighter at the top.
