    paint questions

I have a couple of questions.

    1) do I need to clear coat an enamel paint?

    2) if yes to above or yes you can, will it hurt to wet sand it with a very fine grit

3)Will it hurt / should I, wet sand flat black paint and use no clear (to keep it flat)

Do you have a link to the product you used?

If you're using a metallic paint, you need clearcoat if you're going to wetsand.

Its just rattle cans. Going the super cheap route and tired of looking at the rust blistering through the tank.

I was going to wet sand just to get everything smooth. I will probably clear it over the flat anyways.

I should wetsand, then clear, then wetsand again. Right?

I think rattle can enamel will clog up the sand paper.
you could try it on someplace like the underside of the tank.

It shouldn't clog it up if you're wet sanding. Also, as I said before, if you are using metal flake paint, don't wet sand that. Only wet sand the clear. Reason is, you can sand into the metal flake and have spots where all you see is shiny glittery stuff. Ask me how I know...
