    I need a favor

Could someone here who has an '82 GS1100EZ, maroon, please take a closeup picture of the Suzuki "S" on the tail.

I am going to contact some of these online decal makers to see if they can produce this, I know I'm not the only one who is in need of this particular decal, mine is so badly worn that it no longer even exists.

I've found that many offer the replacement decals but none offer the Suzuki "S" and to make it worse they all seem to believe that the '82 silver had the small "SUZUKI" on the tail, that didn't happen until '83, I appreciate any help that can be given in this.

    Thank you

Thanks posplayr, what I'm actually wanting is a close-up of the "S" on a maroon tail so that if I send the picture to these online decal makers they will know the actual colors including the black "S" and the trim colors of red and gray along with an idea of the width of the associated outline trim colors but unfortunately I need a high resolution picture.
The link you sent, wow that is a really nice looking bike but unfortunately the colors are wrong, thanks again though.

I understand, but will have to see if someone comes along with a pic of a maroon tail. I was in the same situation on my Red 83 and the tail decal. Reproduction decals now have one that they provide.

You might consider asking them to do the red as a clear so your OE color just shows through and will obviuly match then. On the 83 red decals Suzuki did them that way; I used a razor blade to verify.

Also from the pic, is the outer color silver or white? It looks silver?

                  It's actually silver.

In fact I'm composing a letter to reproductiondecals to find out if they can reproduce them, their website says that they don't reproduce using photos but I'm gonna beg and see what happens, you never know.

This guy does beautiful work. He can do the solo piece w/o buying the whole set like some companies may require. He just did a complete GS1000S set for me and they're perfect.

Reproduction decals offers the tailpiece S in their kit, it just isn't shown on their website.

No problem...I was told by the automotive tuner crowd that there are many local graphic artists able to reproduce decals from pics/scans, or even design one from scratch, if a custom twist is required, so I don't think it should be a problem, if Repro Decals don't have it.
Here is the other one I took ....

I hate to disagree with you but, for the maroon '82 they offer the tank decals (2pcs) for $22 and the side cover decals (2pcs) for $18 or you can purchase the kit which includes 4pcs (2 tank decals and 2 side cover decals) for $38 however, you could also buy the decals for the '82 silver which are the 2 tank decals, the 2 side cover decals and they also offer the tail decal or you have the option of buying the kit which includes 5pcs (2 tanks, 2 sides and the tail) but the problem with this tail is it is the graphix for the '83, instead of being a Suzuki "S" they are providing the small "SUZUKI" that came on the '83 1100EZ.

I did send an email last night using the picture Mysuzyq provided me and have asked them if they can produce it. In my email to them I asked if they offer it even though it's not listed on their website, hopefully they'll give me some good news.

Again I hate to disagree with you and hopefully I'm wrong.

Hopefully I'll get an answer soon.
