Did a search but couldn't find anything specific. The tank on my 80 GS1100L is really dented, deep dents otherwise i would have just left it as it is. I can't find a replacement on ebay and have noticed that the 750L tanks of the same year look the same. Mounting points and fuel gauge, etc.. seem to be the same. Does anyone know if these two bikes in fact use the same tank? Let me know please. I'm moving across the state in a few weeks to work on my graduate degree and want to take my bike with me but need it to be working. Thanks to everyone for your help.

According to the cross-reference at Babbitt's, the '80 and '81 750L and 1100L share the same tank.
Use the Quick Part Look Up on the right side, copy and paste part number 44100-49110.
