    Clearcoat failure

    Hello:

It lloks like someone peeled a huge patch off my gas tank.

I looked down to see a scene that looked like a sunburn peel.

Has anyone ever feathered the edges of a spot and built up clear and wet sanded it back down to an acceptable appearance?

From beautiful to ugly in one day it was awful.

If most of it came up in one day why would you trust any of it?

I could use hot water and then chill it with cold to peel the rest maybe?
Its no worse than getting the palm sander out.

might be able to use a razor blade to strip the clear off gotta use the very edge or just sand and use a good grade paint next time. its more expensive for the good stuff i know but u wouldnt be doing it again
