    I do that on all my older GSes too. It's a nice little touch that is still OEM (just slightly newer) looking.

      I like it. I had a spill a few years ago and busted off one of the rear turn signals. I replaced the back ones with some small aftermarket ones that suck - they've never worked. The plan now is to find some short stalk OEM ones (didn't like the long ones for mine).

      The rectangular ones on yours make the whole look much more unified.

        I went from round to rectangular on the back of my 850. The round ones were in a box, not actually attached, when I got the bike, but here are the rectangular ones attached:

          I did the same on my GS550E in 1981 or so, when the rectangular black turn signals first appeared. I remember they cost about $10 each from the dealer (no eBay or Bike Bandit in those days), and I had to modify the mounts a little to get them tight.

            What do you know. I just did that today.

            These were slightly bent and very long.

              guess I should have posted my old rectangles here. I took off rectangles and pitched them in the garbage to put the lollipops back on.
