    Bates hard bags

Anyone have any close-up pics Bates bags on a GS840? I'm interested in shots of the hardware and mounting points.

I want to see pictures of the 840.

Actually, I'd like to see some pics of the bags mounting system, too.

I am going tomorrow to measure the drop from the shock bolt to the bottom of the bags for who had asked that distance. I wouild be more than happy to post a pic of the mounting hardware, but s i mentioned in the post it is all inside the trunk and its locked.. I was walking past the trunk in my stuffed garage and my pant leg caught on the key and broke it off.. I got the piece out of the lock but a locksmith will have to pick the lock and cut someone a key if they buy them..sorry i cant help on that one but i sure wish i could.

Just got around to measuring the drop on the bags..They bolt on at the shock bolt and you take the turn signals off and use that bolt to mount at the back..the overall distance is 9 inches.

Chuck, isn't there a number on the lock that a locksmith can read and make a key from?
